This concluding chapter highlights the findings from the National Middle Grades Research Project, a large-scale, 2-phase study of common planning time. The chapter begins with a summary and discussion of the qualitative and quantitative results from the individual state-level studies and the national dataset, including the similarities among the findings. A comparison of the qualitative and quantitative findings and the impact of the research project is also included. The chapter concludes with implications and recommendations for teacher preparation programs, state education agencies, and policymakers.
