This chapter contains the initial analysis of the quantitative data (510 teacher surveys) that were collected from middle grades teachers as part of Phase II of the National Middle Grades Research Project on Common Planning Time. Individual teachers completed an online teacher survey about the preparation and training they received to participate in teaming and common planning time (CPT), their attitudes and experiences with CPT, the level of CPT they are engaged in, and the challenges and benefits of CPT. Descriptive statistics and tests of significance are presented about four of the five research questions guiding the project, including: (a) How do teachers use their CPT?, (b) How are teachers professionally prepared to use their CPT?, (c) What are the perceived barriers of CPT?, and (d) What are the perceived benefits of CPT?
