This chapter details a three-year faculty mentoring program that has evolved over the past decade at the University of Nebraska’s College of Education and Human Sciences. The focus of the program is development of individual understanding of the academy and the changing nature of academics and the roles and responsibilities of faculty members. Within this focus is the over-arching goal of helping faculty manage their multidimentional professional and personal roles to achieve a measure of balance; that is, overall health, satisfaction, and productivity. The authors describe the evolution of the three-year mentoring program, the focus by year, and lessons learned from their own research on faculty members’ development.
