As the boundaries between societal challenges and day-to-day work blur and dissipate, leaders must facilitate difficult conversations, cultivate inclusive environments, and respond to conflict appropriately and effectively. Grounded in the research, principles, and practice of intergroup dialogue pedagogy, this chapter provides evidence-based, practical approaches to creating and maintaining organizational cultures and climates that can sustain leaders and followers in navigating challenges. Still, research is sparse relating it to leader development outcomes specifically, and we therefore propose future research directions.
