Chapter 7: Spain: Aula Football Club – Reducing Inequalities From the Sports Arena

To achieve sustainable development that leads to a better planet for all, no one should be excluded from having access to a better life. However, inequalities based on income, gender, disability, sexual orientation, race, class or religion persist worldwide (United Nations, n.d. a). Education from childhood is essential to halt the later development of discriminatory practices or hate speech (United Nations, n.d. b; United Nations Human Rights—Office of the High Commissioner, 2022). By cultivating and nurturing the values of teamwork and equality, Aula Football Club (from now on Aula C.F.) aims to build a more inclusive and supportive world (See Figs. 7.1 and 7.2 for examples of the familiness behind the business).
