Abstract
This chapter introduces the Bridge Framework, an Equity‑Centered management model designed for internal consultants within nonprofit organizations. Drawing on over twenty‑five years of experience, the author offers a candid account of navigating organizational transformation during a period of turmoil, using personal reflection and strategic insight as key tools. The chapter argues that operationalizing equity must begin with the internal consultant’s mindset, shaped through critical self‑reflection, purpose definition, and identity awareness. Through the Bridge Framework’s three components—shared leadership, collaboration, and purposeful accountability—the author demonstrates how equity becomes both a lens and a practice for driving sustainable, values-aligned organizational change. Grounded in systems thinking and informed by theories of belonging, intersectionality, and organizational behavior, this framework offers a compelling roadmap for nonprofit practitioners seeking to embed equity at the core of their management practices.
