This essay explores the pivotal role of parents and communities in talent development, emphasizing that nurturing advanced abilities requires time, resources, and collaborative support. Drawing on Bloom’s developmental framework and international models, such as the New Zealand Rugby, the text argues for intentional, equitable community structures—spanning families, schools, and policy—to enable all children, regardless of socioeconomic background, to realize their potential. A proposed Talent Development Community model illustrates how layered networks can work in concert to support intellectual and creative growth.
