The ‘bleisure’ visitor, who integrates business and leisure activities, presents a plethora of challenges and opportunities for destination management companies. In order to attain a unique blend of personal and professional fulfilment, these travellers are combining their work and leisure activities. Destination marketing organisations (DMOs) must reassess their strategies and embrace a more comprehensive perspective in order to meet the changing expectations of leisure travellers. This investigation investigates strategies for optimising destinations in this ever-changing market. DMOs should utilise narrative to establish an emotive connection with travellers by communicating the history, culture, and essence of their locale. The promotion of comprehensive, personalised experiences that meet the diverse requirements of bleisure travellers can be achieved by facilitating collaborative networking and value co-creation among local enterprises, tourism providers, and travellers. The integration of technology and data-driven insights is indispensable for the purpose of navigating complex stakeholder ecosystems and preserving competitiveness in the rapidly changing tourism sector. DMOs can develop customised experiences and services by understanding the changing preferences, behaviours, and challenges of leisure visitors through the use of data analytics and innovative digital solutions (Fyall & Garrod, 2019). Through technological innovation, collaborative stakeholder involvement, and narrative, destination management organisations can transform their regions into premier destinations for discerning bleisure tourism, thereby revealing new opportunities for long-term sustainability, competitiveness, and growth.
