Waqf, a cornerstone of Islamic philanthropy, has historically supported social welfare and offers significant potential for enhancing disaster resilience. This study examines waqf's role in disaster management by analyzing its historical and contemporary applications, identifying challenges, and proposing integration models. Employing a library-based approach with descriptive, analytical, and inductive methods, the research reviews literature, conducts historical analysis, and evaluates case studies to develop policy recommendations. Research shows waqf's adaptability through innovations like cash waqf and sukuk-linked waqf, which offer sustainable funding for disaster relief and recovery. Integrating waqf with Islamic finance and modern technologies can amplify its impact, addressing both immediate and long-term disaster needs. Policymakers should prioritize legal frameworks, financial integration, and governance to maximize waqf's effectiveness. Future research should explore innovative waqf models and their synergy with Islamic social finance to strengthen community resilience.
