The hospitality sector faces significant challenges in attracting and retaining employees due to labor shortages and turnover. This chapter explores factors influencing employee attraction and retention in Malaysian hospitality. It examines strategies to address labor shortages and turnover from both recruitment and retention perspectives. This is achieved by gathering primary data through interviews with hospitality leaders nationwide. By identifying effective strategies, the research aims to help the Malaysian hospitality sector better manage its workforce and enhance its appeal to prospective employees, ultimately bridging the gap in labor shortages, turnover, and workforce issues.
