This chapter investigates the transformative function of the over-the-top (OTT) delivery platform in redefining wellness through immersive digital experiences. The utilisation of these platforms in the distant past was considered mere channels of entertainment; hence, they have been turned into unconventional, yet powerful, places for health: mental, emotional, and physical. Concepts that come from cinematic therapy, mindfulness, and behavioural psychology, as well as immersive technologies, are used in this chapter to explore how streaming content provides a means for emotional catharsis, stress relief, self-reflection, and the growth of the individual. The analysis encompasses wellness programmes such as meditation and yoga workshops, deeply emotional dramas, and interactive augmented reality (AR)/virtual reality (VR) experiences, thus highlighting the transition from passive consumption to purposeful engagement. The structuring further discusses personalisation to algorithms, ethics, and wellness contributions for particular genres, interspersed with real-world case studies and viewer testimonies emphasising the psychological effects of such content. Finally, it offers a potential trajectory where OTT platforms might evolve into a complete wellness system, driven by collaborative expert input, artificial intelligence (AI) recommendations, and mental health-focused applications. This chapter contributes to the discourse on digital well-being that consciously champions streaming applications in favour of human flourishing.
