Supporting Student Success: Making Excellence Inclusive¹

Good morning everyone.

I am sure that in the room today there are many different types of institution represented, and also many different courses and programmes involving international students. What I will say needs to be interpreted for these different contexts – I simply do not have the time to relate key messages to so many different situations. Maybe we can pick this up in the panel discussions later.

So, my emphasis today will be on the diversity and dynamics of our university populations; and how we must ensure this is reflected fully in our policies and practices for supporting ALL students, including our international ones.
