In this chapter, the theoretical and practical contributions towards theories and models of strategic leadership have been discussed. In theoretical contribution there are two sub-parts: contribution to the 21 leadership theories and the 11 strategic leadership models. In practical contributions there are two sub-sections: one is on managerial organizational contributions and the other on social contributions of this study. Finally, the scope implications and future directions for research are also discussed.

Theoretical contributions on leadership theory consists of dispositional trait theory (Bass, 1990), in which it was observed that traditionally in India learnings on scriptures were transferred from one generation to another through listening. Learners would identify shrutidhars (good listeners) to pass on the learnings and important messages. They found that even today meaningful patient listening is desired from leaders to capture the essence of words spoken. Thus, listening skill as a trait is important in India.
