Chapter 4: Research Design

Systematic and practical examination to produce appropriate responses towards identified research questions in line with the study objectives explained in above chapters, a systematic layout of the design, approaches, instruments and practices to gather, organize, analyze and construe the essential evidence is necessary. Fig. 1 explains the flow of this chapter with all major sections.

To accomplish the objectives and obtain the best value from the study, the researcher has used an empirical-deductive route to scientific investigation through a quantitative approach to execute the design and practice for the research. For evaluating relationships among ‘dependent and independent’ variables through hypobook testing, quantitative design is the best suitable approach that can explore maximum possible associations (Sekaran & Bougie, 2013). The drive of quantitative orientation with a deductive approach derived from the empirical findings of this study was to explore the standard pattern of activities of all associated stakeholders (Cavana et al., 2001). In addition to this, the study also explores various key activities executed by all associated stakeholders with respect to the online healthcare (OHC) space.
