We live in a world that is evolving at a speed with which humanity cannot keep a steady pace. So, too, technology and medical knowledge progress. In this context, it has become increasingly difficult to manage healthcare facilities operating a service model based on scientific methods and medical evidence that make the use of technology a necessity both clinically and managerially.
AI refers to technologies that can simulate human abilities such as reasoning and creativity. It is a short leap to recognizing AI as an extension of the human brain in its ability to provide tangible game-changing support for managing the peculiarities of medical practice. AI has brought benefit to healthcare. Diverse specialties are exploring its use in diagnosis and therapy and for aiding diagnosis in such fields as mine – interventional radiology. When viewed from a holistic perspective, the potential of AI in healthcare and medicine holds promise for clinical specialties and for the managerial and administrative areas that form the backbone of a healthcare system.
