Zoom is a graphic children’s book by Istvan Banyai (1995) that can be used as a visual reflection activity. It is a series of images that progressively “zoom” out and can be used to reflect on learning/changed perspectives, others’ perspectives, and systems. An Internet search of “zoom activity” turns up multiple training websites that illustrate variations of this activity (e.g., http://www.wilderdom.com/games/descriptions/Zoom.html). This version has been adapted specifically as a reflection for leadership learning.

Materials:Zoom book (paperback) that has been disassembled into a deck of 30 images (pages with image on one side, blank on other). You may wish to laminate cards, however, they will hold up with careful use.
