Sometimes less is more. A brief but useful way for participants to process an experience is a 1-minute written reflection. Brief written reflections can be useful for formative assessment, and they can build toward summative reflection. Clear and compelling prompts are designed to elicit reflection in a short period of time, and these prompts can also be used for other reflection activities.
