Crossover pedagogy is different but familiar, and perhaps we are already incorporating this concept into our current practices with programs like having student affairs serve as coteachers, or having professors live in the residence halls. My own reflections on the moments when I embraced crossover pedagogy encourage me to explore and offer this concept as an opportunity for my fellow student affairs community to improve the craft and the art of our work. I hope my personal narratives and professional experience with this pedagogy, despite it being out of necessity at times, provide a compelling reason for it to be considered as a potential way for student affairs practitioners to revisit the challenge of how to engage our entire campuses in more holistic learning. We have found our niche in the out-of-classroom space, but I believe our role can be expanded with a more open perspective and intentional collaborations.
