This chapter describes teaching endorsement programming sponsored by The Ohio State University’s Drake Institute for Teaching and Learning and the statewide, multi-institutional Ohio College Teaching Consortium. Teaching endorsements both recognize faculty involvement in extended and deep professional learning experiences and serve as a way-finding mechanism for instructors seeking to connect experiences across departments and offices within a single institution or engage in multi-institutional programming. Other benefits of such a program include (1) establishing and supporting intra- and inter-institutional networks dedicated to faculty development; (2) leveraging expertise of multiple units or institutions; and (3) creating budgetary and systemic efficiencies across the networks.
