Identifying and developing future leaders is important to the success of our university and higher education more broadly. With that in mind, the Provost’s Office created a new Emerging Faculty Leaders Program in fall 2021, an intensive professional development experience for faculty seeking to expand their capacity for leadership in higher education. This chapter will outline the process and procedures to create a new faculty leadership development program at a medium sized public university. It will outline the program costs and resources needed to create and manage the program and describe the evaluation plan. In addition, we will outline the plans to enrich this program in future years.
