This chapter looks specifically at Latinas in their roles as school leaders. A large number of respondents in the National Latino Leadership Project (NLLP) were women, which brings the importance of sharing information about particular issues that Latinas face in education and most particularly in the principalship. The chapter contains a review of the experiences of Latinas in education followed by their experiences in educational leadership. We share the findings from the NLLP study focused on the survey responses and open-ended reflections of these Latinas. Their contributions to the study and their impact associated with creating positive experiences for students and their families bring noteworthy implications and a reminder of our responsibility in promoting the well-being of schools and families.
