Creating leadership educational programing for Latino male students requires action from educators who understand the student population’s needs, wants, challenges, and goals. Having awareness of their interests, joys, successes, challenges, mistakes, and reflections can help create transformational leadership opportunities. Developing leadership opportunities for Latino male students by empowering them to continue developing their talents and skills as leaders reinforces the importance of leadership and coalition. In this chapter, the authors provide an overview of Latino male leadership by using the three-level model of oppression (Vaccaro, 2011), and then provide a context of how Latino male students continue to be disenfranchised at each level. Finally, the authors highlight promising practices for higher education educators.
