No-Name Community College (NNCC) is located in the western part of Oklahoma with a SMSA of 200,000. No-Name is the largest city within 100 miles of the nearest major city. NNCC is the only higher education institution in No-Name City. NNCC, established in 1972 by local community efforts, receives its funding through federal, state, and local taxes. NNCC enrolls an average of 6,000 full and part-time students and 10,000 continuing education students. The average student is 28 years old, married with 1.6 children, and reside in No-Name and the surrounding farming communities. Twenty-five percent of NNCC graduates transfer to Urban State College 100 miles away.
