4.: Quality Management

This chapter explains the process of notifying Defects, correcting Defects within the defect correction period, the consequences if the Contractor fails to correct a Defect and how and why Defects may be accepted by the Project Manager without correction. It sets out the Supervisor's right to instruct the Contractor to search for a Defect and what happens if a Defect is or is not found. It also explains the significance of the defects date, who issues the Defects Certificate and when it is issued. It describes the process for notifying and carrying out tests and inspections and the consequences if the Supervisor or the Contractor fail to follow the process.
