Chapter Summary
This chapter explains the concept of knowledge spaces and moments. The authors draw from Oldenburg’s (1997) characterization of first, second, and third spaces to explain how we develop a full repertoire of knowledge assets. The authors describe how knowledge travels across human relationships and networks to form the human infrastructure of a knowledge society.
