Chapter Summary
This chapter explores industrial work as a prominent second space. The authors consider the knowledge assets, moments, and mobilities of industrial spaces and places. A range of industrial work environments is reviewed. The authors apply spatial syntax methods to manufacturing plants to illustrate common knowledge flows. The value of industrial knowledge and moments to a knowledge society is also discussed.
