Article Type: Announcement From: Corporate Communications: An International Journal, Volume 16, Issue 2

Corporate Communications: An International Journal is proud to be a partner at a unique event to be held in Amsterdam, 26-28 October, 2011 on CSR Communication. With the increasing institutionalization of CSR to corporations, corporate CSR communication is increasing in importance. CSR communication can be defined as a process of anticipating stakeholder expectations, articulation of CSR policy and the managing of different communication tools designed to provide true and transparent information about a company or a brand's integration of its business operations, social and environmental concerns, and interactions with stakeholders. As such, for many corporations, CSR communication has become a balancing act between the interests of the organization and its varied stakeholders. In this event, scholars from various backgrounds will present their work and research on CSR communications; also practitioners will present their best practices, cases etc. The Dutch Society for Communication Professionals (Logeion) is a partner at this Conference as well as the German counterpart. The best contributions will be selected for a special issue of CCIJ, which is forthcoming in May 2012.
