Professor Norio Takahashi (1951-2013)

The Sixth International Conference on Electromagnetic Field Problems and Applications (ICEF’2012) was held in Dalian, Liaoning, China, from 19 to 21 of June 2012. A small selection of the papers, specially prepared in extended form, is included in this issue of COMPEL. The Guest Editor of this special section was late Professor Norio Takahashi who passed away on 26 February 2013 but completed the reviewing process just before his untimely death.
