There is a good deal that businesses can learn from looking at other sectors, even if at first glance it does not seem like there would be much of an overlap. Take the health sector, for example. For many firms, there could not be more of a difference as organizations – private sector vs public sector; nonhealth sector vs health sector; focus on consumers vs focus on patients. However, there may be a good deal to learn from how healthcare organizations tackle more abstract issues such as how success is measured, or how resilience can be developed with systems.
