Polyclad Laminates, Inc., introduced TURBO™ CAF resistant laminate and prepreg systems at IPC Printed Circuits Expo. The advanced epoxy resin technology provides substantially enhanced thermal performance and reliability versus all other high Tg FR-4 materials.
Available as TURBO 226 standard performance and TURBO 370 high performance laminate and prepreg systems, the CAF resistant, dimensionally stable materials possess high glass transition temperatures (Tg) ranging from 140oC to 175oC. The cost-effective materials meet 6X solder float requirements, making them ideally suited for lead- free assembly and applications that require multiple soldering steps. The products are available as laminates and prepregs reinforced with standard E-glass. Environmentally friendly, TURBO products provide ultra-fast cure rates that have enabled PWB fabricators to reduce press cycle times by 30 per cent and more.
