DOS‐tips: Batch Files à la MODE

One of the more powerful features of MS‐DOS microcomputers (such as the IBM PC and the OCLC M300 Workstation) is the ability to create and run a special type of “program” called a batch file. Although fully documented in the DOS manual, batch files remain poorly understood by many users. This is too bad, because even occasional PC users can use batch files to simplify and streamline day‐to‐day use of their machines.
