Since the 1960s CIM (Computer Input Microfilm) has been mentioned, usually only in passing, in discussion of COM and other computer‐linked library developments, but even now there are only two operational systems, both based on Grafix 1 machinery. These are the US Navy at Jacksonville, Florida (1975) and the UK Department of Health and Social Security, National Insurance Records at Newcastle (1976).
