Women and Mining — Policies for Opening Up Blue Collar Work

Professor of Education (Policy Studies) at the University of Queensland, Australia. She was formerly a Deputy Chief Education Officer in England, the first Education Officer of the British Equal Opportunities Commission and for three years a fulltime consultant to the EEC and UNESCO on sex equality in education and training and vocational education for young people. Her publications include Women and Education (Tavistock, 1978), Equality of Education and Training for Girls (Commission of the European Communities, 1979) and two UNESCO reports on opening up vocational training for women, in 1980.
