Europe on the Web

Keywords: Internet, European Union, Teachers, Students

Europa-Campus, a new Web service aimed at improving access to the wealth of educational information sources available to teachers, has been launched on Europa, the European Union Internet Server. The service, developed in the UK and building on the expertise and experience of the network of European Resource Centres for Schools and Colleges, is available in all 11 official EU languages. It provides a single entry point to EU policies, programmes and sources of information of relevance to the educational sector and can be found at http://europa.eu.int/campus

In addition, the European Resource Centre for Schools and Colleges in the West Midlands has produced a guide to help teachers and pupils find their way around the maze of European Websites. The directory lists over 350 Websites relevant to European issues and is produced on a six-monthly basis to keep up-to-date with changes and new additions.

The guide costs £5.00 (plus £1.00 postage and packing) and can be ordered from Naida Bano at the West Midlands European Resource Centre, Tel: 0121 446 3400.
