The new City & Guilds Smartscreen CD-ROM is a comprehensive skills testing package for the recruitment of secretarial and clerical staff.

Skills tested include: literacy, numeracy, data entry, typing, Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint, and telephone skills. The maximum length of any one test is 15 minutes, ensuring that a candidate can be assessed on a variety of topics relatively quickly. The reporting format not only provides an overall percentage score, but also a narrative response that can be incorporated into management reports, as well as a question-by-question breakdown.
