Ireland trains SMEs in e-business

E-business training for employees of around 4,000 small and medium-size firms in Ireland has been launched by the chambers of commerce of Ireland.

The multi-million pound investment by the chambers of commerce is being matched by the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment.

Key project staff members are in place around the country, working directly with chambers of commerce to build their training capacity and stimulate demand for training.

Eight regional business centres, each with an e-business development executive, have been established. Regional e-business development executives are helping to build e-business capacity through training, awareness events and business networks.
