How adept are your employees at using computer software? Key Training's new TNA2000 (training needs analysis) tool simulates common software packages, with the aim of helping organizations to identify the proficiency of their staff, and the level and type of training they require.
An interactive demo of TNA2000 has been launched on Key Training's Web site at www.keytraining.co.uk and was developed by Internet applications specialists CommUnity Internet PLC. The demo features Windows 95 and uses screens from the operating software. Users are asked to perform a series of functions using the mouse, for example, showing how they would minimize a window.
They are then given a score and prompted to ask for a full version of the TNA2000 from Key Training. Simulations of other packages such as Excel, Word and Powerpoint are planned to be added to the Web site later in the year.
TNA2000 is compatible to working on a stand-alone PC, a network and over a local area network (LAN) or wide area network (WAN), and will soon be available over the Internet. It focuses more on the business needs of the individual than merely skill assessments.
"Different organizations operate in different ways and therefore have varying requirements, both as a business as a whole and as individual employees", says Bob Eighteen, Group Managing Director at Key Training. "Key aims to help each business meet these requirements by understanding exactly what level of training is needed and the most effective way to implement it. The TNA is a fundamental part of achieving this. We hope the interactivity offered by Key's Web site provides an accessible and informative means of understanding what Key has to offer to businesses."
