A training programme to prepare young European managers to operate effectively in Korea has been launched by the European Commission. Recruitment for the scheme, which runs for six months in Korea, started recently, and the first 16 participants will go to Korea in 2000. Intensive language tuition will run in parallel with seminars on the Korean economy, business, politics and society. The later part of the programme includes internships with Korean companies.
