This study aims to investigate the impacts of green management practices on employees’ pro-environmental behaviours (PEBs) in the construction enterprises and their underlying mechanisms. Specifically, this research examines the effects of green human resource management (GHRM), organisational green culture (OGC), and green servant leadership on employees’ environmental behaviour while exploring the moderating role of individual green values (IGVs).
Data was collected through online questionnaires distributed to employees in Chinese construction enterprises, yielding 469 valid responses. Empirical analysis was conducted using SPSS and SmartPLS.
The results demonstrate significant positive correlations between GHRM, OGC, green servant leadership (GSL), and employees’ pro-environmental behaviours (PEBs). Moreover, IGV significantly moderated these relationships.
This research uncovers multi-path mechanisms linking corporate green management practices to employees’ PEBs and is the first to validate the moderating effects of IGVs across distinct green management practices, offering novel perspectives for existing literature.
