With the accession of Portugal and Spain to the European Community at the beginning of next year, the EC will be faced with new challenges. Both these countries are particularly interested in the restructuring and further development of their initial and continuing training systems. Accordingly, apart from considerable financial support, Portugal and Spain are in need of an exchange of information and experience in the field of vocational training.
