Boredom on holiday is something unheard of at Millfield's Village of Education, where visitors can utilise the comprehensive facilities of this famous independent school. A wide choice of 83 activities makes the summer holiday courses extremely popular both for individuals and families. A dozen new activities added this year to the already extensive list of sports, craft or hobby subjects means there is always something different to try, and 92 per cent of those questioned last year said they would certainly return. New courses include archaeology, croquet, gardening, kite flying, and porcelain painting. Summer courses run for four weeks, from 29 July‐23 August. Prices, including all meals and accommodation, average £151 for an adult doing two courses and £133 for a young person; there is a 10 per cent discount for senior citizens and previous visitors.
