MANAGEMENT EDUCATION — THE WAY FORWARD

It is, in my view, vital that the findings and recommendations of Professor Charles Handy's report (sponsored by NEDC, MSC and BIM) and the Constable/McCormick study (sponsored by the Government and undertaken under the auspices of CBI and BIM) are put into practice and not left to gather dust, as has been the fate of so many studies in the past. The Foundation for Management Education has picked up the ball and already started to run with it, but before I come to that let me paint in the backcloth against which we are working.
