A new programme is being formed to link British and German companies in developing quality work-based training, centred on trainee exchanges. The programme will also include further education students working towards national vocational qualifications or similar qualifications.
The trainee exchanges will consist of three-week placements in German partner companies, and language preparation before the visit.
Project proposals must be submitted on behalf of participants by training providers, employers or training and enterprise councils. The Central Bureau for Educational Visits and Exchanges, in London, will help to formulate and manage the projects. Its counterpart in the administration of the programme in Germany is the Carl Duisberg Gesellschaft, Cologne.
