Kaleidoscope projects selected

Keywords: Europe, Funding

The European Commission has selected 119 projects, worth a total 8.17 million euros, to benefit from the Kaleidoscope programme. Many aim to train young artists. Others are concerned with organising festivals or exchange visits. In addition, there will be 550,000 euros for the EU Youth Orchestra, 300,000 euros for the EU Baroque Orchestra, 600,000 euros for the European City of Culture(Weimar) and 100,000 euros for the European Cultural Month, in Plovdiv. The Kaleidoscope programme comes to an end this year. It will be replaced by a single support programme for the cultural sector, rather than the range of programmes which currently exists.
