Supply chain disruptions add to those created by China's ongoing COVID-19 lockdowns. Strategic tensions with the West are a price Beijing accepts for defending its own core interests, but association with Russian aggression increases these tensions without any compensatory benefit. China wants the conflict to end quickly with a negotiated solution.
