Significance
Multiple rocket-launcher systems (MRLS) are one example of how technologically advanced weapons have shifted the military balance in Ukraine's favour. The small numbers supplied so far have made a difference to sustaining the defence but are too few to assist a Ukrainian counter-offensive.
Impacts
Armoured vehicle deliveries are likely to remain an ad hoc mix supplied by Central and Eastern European states.
US talk of fighter pilot training is unlikely to materialise for months, even years.
Western arms firms will enjoy a boost as defence production grows for many years to come.
