Prospects for emerging economies to end-2017.

Significance

GDP growth is picking up across emerging markets (EMs); stronger global demand is helping exporters while loose monetary policy and rising wages are supporting domestic activity. US President Donald Trump has softened his campaign trade stance, and US inflation is easing, reducing pressure for tighter policy that would have damaged growth prospects in export-reliant EMs and put dollar-indebted countries under pressure.
