Significance
They were participating in a rally ahead of snap elections in Turkey, aimed at a Europe-wide audience to circumvent bans on pro-Erdogan gatherings in several EU member countries. The steadily growing interference of various regional and global actors in Bosnia-Hercegovina (BiH) and the rest of the region is mostly due to a void created by the gradual weakening of US and EU interest and influence in the region over recent years.
Impacts
Most parties will fight the October elections with traditional nationalist and populist rhetoric, regardless of the consequences.
The EU and United States still do not seem to see Bosnia as a serious foreign policy and security problem.
Lack of reform in Bosnia will impede its EU accession bid.
