Significance
With President Donald Trump’s May 8 announcement of a US withdrawal from the 2015 multilateral nuclear agreement, the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Iran’s focus for the rest of 2018 will be on managing the economic impact of looming sanctions.
