Subject
Prospects for Turkey to end-2019.
Significance
Despite a hefty defeat in the re-run mayoral elections in Istanbul, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan seems determined not to change course on either domestic or foreign policy. Economic uncertainties will linger and the return to growth may be hampered by high corporate indebtedness and a fiscal deficit.
